In December 2017, important amendments to Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007 on public passenger transport services by rail and by road will enter into force. The first amendments since 2007 mainly deal with the rail sector and raise numerous legal issues. At the same time, the amendments give reason to challenge the legal concept and the procurement practice of public passenger transport services. Against this background, the Forschungsstelle für Verkehrsmarktrecht at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Prof. Dr. Matthias Knauff, LL.M. Eur.) and the chair in public and administrative law (Staats- und Verwaltungsrecht sowie Medienrecht) of the University of Leipzig (Prof. Dr. Hubertus Gersdorf) kindly invite to the 1.
