As part of the Blockchain Camp IV of the IHK Region Stuttgart, lawyer Bettina Backes will give a lecture on Blockchain and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) .

How do GDPR and Blockchain technology work together? Is the innovation potential of the blockchain compatible with the European data protection law? As personal data are transported in the Blockchain, numerous data protection questions arise, ranging from the determination of responsibility to the legal basis for data processing to the assertion of data subjects' rights. The various legal questions and lines of conflict are explained and possible solutions are presented.
